Telangana CM Dalit Bandhu Scheme 2021 | TS Dalita Bandhu by Chief Minister KCR for Dalit Empowerment

Dalit Bandhu Scheme

With the turn of the century, oppressive traditions and practices are being demolished for the collective good, and this turns out to be the biggest win for humanity on the whole. Several oppressive beliefs and customs are being axed and the most important one in India that needs to be disposed of is the caste system and its negative impacts on the community of people called the Dalits.

For decades, intellectuals and learned citizens have schemed and worked hard to abolish the system for the welfare of the community but there always seems to be a roadblock in terms of the predisposition people hold towards the caste system.

However, in a definitive stand against the system and to usher in the winds of change, the Telangana government has launched the Dalit Bandhu scheme.

About the Telangana Dalit Bandhu scheme

Through the implementation of the scheme, the Telangana government intends to empower the Dalits in the society to break the vicious cycle of poverty and rise above to lead a dignified life in the long run.

Empowering the Dalits is an essential aspect of development, as it cannot be considered the development of a nation if a certain community of people are left behind in the shadows.

The Telangana government intends to roll out the scheme soon so as to benefit as many Dalit families in the state as possible.

Beneficiaries in the State-wide scheme

Through the scheme, several Dalit families in the state will be empowered. To give an estimate, the scheme intends to roll out its benefits in a staggered fashion for better efficacy.

MandalNumber of Dalit families
Huzurabad mandal5323
Kamalapur mandal4346
Veenavanka mandal3678
Jammikunta mandal4996
Illanthakunta mandal2586
Total20,969 families

All of these assembly segments will undergo thorough verification for the selection of beneficiaries under the Dalit Bandhu scheme.

Assistance amount offered under Dalit Bandhu Scheme

The scheme aims to offer a sum of ₹10 lakh given to the Dalits in cash under the implementation of the scheme. Along with that, the beneficiary along with the government’s participation will create a Safety fund.

In any case, the Dalit family falls into some kind of crisis and needs financial respite, the Safety fund will come into action and help out the family. The Safety fund shields the family from financial difficulties, which they tend to face quite often and this scheme will reassure them to lead better, more worry-free lives.

In Conclusion

Dalits have faced oppression, on several levels, for a really long time. For years, they have been denied basic rights of education and information just as a mere and ignorant continuation of a process that does not wish for the welfare of the Dalits.

Now, with this scheme coming to light, the Telangana government is shining the spotlight on an issue that has always been promised but never implemented. Through this scheme, the norms of equality will now be even more widespread.
